Nippon Ichi’s flagship strategy RPG series, Disgaea, is already making plenty of waves with its first direct sequel to the 2003 cult classic Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. The fine folks over at The Magic Box have graced us with a great number of screenshots showcasing Disgaea D2 for your viewing pleasure below.
Disgaea D2, or Disgaea Dimension 2, follows up on Prince (now Overlord) Laharl’s rise to power from the first game and run-ins with those who seek to dethrone the blue-haired punk. After one of these encounters, Laharl wakes up to find himself trapped in a female’s body. Hopefully NIS America can get Disgaea D2 localized here soon so we all can find out what happens next!
Currently Disgaea D2 is set to release on March 20th in Japan with no news of a US / EU release.
