In a transcript of Warner Bros. Q4 2012 earnings call, the company secretly announced that Batman Arkham 3 is set to release this year. Posted on Seeking Alpha, John K. Martin was quoted:
“We expect [digital home video revenue] to grow close to 20% in 2013. And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise.”
While the news indeed is a good one for Batman Arkham fans, one thing that may disappoint that Rocksteady might not be developing the game according to VG247. If Arkham 3 is indeed coming this year, it seems that Warner Bros. plans to make a yearly Batman game similar to what Activision is doing to their Call of Duty games to milk more money from their franchise. Is that a good thing?
