Nintendo has released its results for this quarter and it has revealed that the Wii U console has shipped over 3 million units since it launched in November.
To be exact, 3.06 million worldwide with software sales of the console at 11.69 million. Nintendo Land sold 2.33 million while Super Mario Bros. U has sold just over 2 million units thus far. The original Wii console is close to shipping 100 million units.
The 3DS reached a milestone as Nintendo has now shipped 30 million units of the handheld console. New Super Mario Bros. 2 was the best selling game for the 3DS this quarter selling 5.33 million units.
Nintendo has cut its forecast for the Wii U’s sales. It originally expected to sell around 5.5 million units by the end of March but it has cut its prediction down to only 4 million units.
