In honor of Spelunkers 20th Anniversary Tozai Games has rereleased the 4 original games in 1 collection on the PSN. Featuring the original game, the iconic NES version and the unique arcade titles, Spelunker Collection is something fans and gamers alike will enjoy. Considering the Spelunker is “the weakest explorer ever”, we at JustPushStart have made a quick guide to help you 100% this game in no time.
Things to Keep in Mind
The fourth option on the main menu is for a mode called “Free Play”, which will allow you to freely save / load your game. This mode also enables “Free Play” (unlimited continues) for the arcade games, so this will remove most of the challenge. Naturally you can elect not to use this mode, just remember that you can use this at any point and time.

Contrary to every other version of Spelunker out there, it’s completely possible to beat the first floor with only 1 key. Doing this will make beating the game impossible, but will give you the trophy if you want to get it out of the way. The video below will show you one of the simplest methods to do it, but it can be done with any of the keys in the first area.
