Affordable DLC
When it comes to DLC, some game publishers set vary on what price they set them as. Four costumes in Dead or Alive 5 costs 400 Microsoft Points while some Call of Duty map packs are 1200 Microsoft Points. The Zodiac Tournament DLC for Sleeping Dogs only costs you 400 Microsoft Points and offers you up to two hours of fun. Not to mention the DLC is accessible at anytime so you don’t have to complete the entire game in order to play through it. For those of you that own the game on PS3 or PC, it’s only $5 to get.

Little Replay Value
If you’ve already completed Sleeping Dogs and plan to play/purchase the Zodiac Tournament DLC, there’s little replay value on offer once you have completed it. Sure you can earn some extra moves and attire for Shen, but other than that, there’s not much incentive to play through the DLC again. There’s not any new achievements to unlock with this DLC either…
Jarring Presentation
I understand the DLC was supposed to replicate an old kung-fu movie from the ’70s, but I found that the presentation of the entire DLC to be off putting. The graphics look washed out and the drug sequence looks even worse. Since the DLC was set on a tropical island, I would have preferred it if they used the normal graphics that the game has.
Verdict
The Sleeping Dogs: Zodiac Tournament DLC is a nice addition to the game is you are a fan of kung fu movies and martial arts in general. You do get to unlock a few new moves to learn and some clothing for Shen to wear as well. You also get to earn a lot of experience points by playing through the DLC too. The only downsides to the DLC are the presentation and its lack of replay value. Other than that, most Sleeping Dogs won’t mind playing through the DLC to kick some more butts.
