The experimental minds at Grasshopper Manufacture, headed by Goichi Suda (SUDA51, colloquially), have just announced their intent to work under a new publishing team rather than just acting as their own free agents. The publisher in question? GungHo Online Entertainment, known primarily for their work with Gravity Co., Ltd. and the Ragnarok Online franchise.
This marks a new chapter for SUDA51 and personally I’m all for it. Some of his previous works (No More Heroes and Lollipop Chainsaw, for example) help push the creative boundaries for what to expect from a game. If Grasshopper and GungHo can put their minds together, perhaps we can see more information on Killer is Dead in time for E3.
Grasshopper Manufacture is the fourth game studio merged with GungHo Online Entertainment in the recent years. They are preceded by Acquire, GRAVITY, and Game Arts.
