A rumor surfaced the other day that Monster Hunter 4 will be coming to the PS Vita since the Nintendo 3DS version has been delayed. Capcom has now responded to this rumor.
Capcom Senior Vice President Christian Svenson commented on the Capcom Unity forums saying:
“I would not believe everything you read on the internet. It will set you up for disappointment or misdirected frustration.”
This sounds like Monster Hunter 4 will not be coming to the PS Vita after all, unless Svenson is actually hiding the truth? Either way, the PS Vita needs a blockbuster game like Monster Hunter 4 in its library right now.

January 21, 2013 at 12:30 PMNintendo have might have made a huge contract with Capcom so that MH games are exclusive to Nintendo consoles. Pokemon, Mario, etc games are exclusively for Nintendo. They don’t have any reason to go onto Xbox or PS consoles. Fair enough Xbox 360 has MHF but Xbox was never a threat to Nintendo so there isn’t any reason for them to keep MHF from the 360. Nintendo is the rival of PS (in terms of handhelds).
It is PS fault for making those Vita memory cards so expensive. The Vita is like an Android device and the 3DS is like an Iphone (I would imagine the simple to use “Iphone” would cost less than a complex android device).

I would guess it has more o do with Sony of America blocking MH3PHD when it was ready to go more than any contract they may or may not have with Nintendo.
Localization is a huge undertaking; having all that time, money, and effort thrown out the window because of SoA probably stings quite a bit.
