Nintendo of America has tweeted some pretty helpful advice for those that might be giving away a brand new Wii U console as a Christmas present on December 25th.
Here’s what they tweeted:

For those of you that don’t know, the Wii U requires a pretty hefty 5GB update before you can even start playing on the console. The last thing you would want for Christmas is for an eager kid to open the Wii U and being unable to play it right away…
Hopefully by next year Nintendo will finally release Wii U consoles that are already shipped with the update…
