Call of Duty: Black Ops is arguably the most anticipated video game of 2012. Although day one sales figures are still being estimated, it’s likely to be huge according to a comment from Blockbuster UK.
Blockbuster UK Commercial Director Gerry Butler revealed to MVC:
“We sold over 10,000 copies of the game in the first five minutes alone and we anticipate that our stores will continue to serve hundreds of COD fans today as the rush continues to get the latest game in this record breaking franchise.”
If figures like this continue, Black Ops II might break launch day records that were set by Modern Warfare 3 just one year ago.
