Uber Entertainment, an independent game studio, turned to Kickstarter with an ambitious target to reach for their planned Real-Time Strategy title, Planetary Annihilation.
With the initial target of $900,000 already smashed the game and over a week to go the game will be going ahead. The team at Uber Entertainment are most recently known for developing Monday Night Combat and Super Monday Night Combat; however members of the team have also worked on Total Annihilation, Command & Conquer, Supreme Commander and Demigod.
The game itself is as ambitious as it initial pledge goal with skirmishes planned to allow for up to “40 of your closest frenemies and thousands of units”: on top of that similar to Supreme Commander there will be a “strategic views of the action anywhere, anytime by zooming in and out of the war zone, and use split interfaces and multiple windows to keep an eye on multiple battlegrounds at once.”
To back the project head over to the Planetary Annihilation’s Kickstarter page before the final week is complete.
