Japanese entertainment website Cinema Today had a chance to interview Paul W.S. Anderson the director of the upcoming Resident Evil: Retribution movie. It’s interesting to note that he hinted he may want to direct a Monster Hunter film in the future…
When asked what next game he’d make a movie for, he said “Recently, I’ve been loving Monster Hunter. A film conversion is currently in planning.” It’s not known at this stage if it’s his own personal ambition to start making a Monster Hunter film or if a Hollywood Studio has started making plans of developing one. In either case, a Monster Hunter film will be interesting to see up on the big screen.
Paul W.S. Anderson is married to Milla Jovovich and that’s why we see her in the lead roles in most of his movies. If a Monster Hunter film does happen in the near future, you can bet that it will be her in the lead role killing monsters this time instead of zombies…
