Story Mode Has More Substance
In past LittleBigPlanet video games, the single player mode didn’t really have much substance. Although the levels were enjoyable to play through, it was just a series of levels to unlock and there was not really a proper storyline or any memorable characters to familiarize yourself with. LittleBigPlanet Vita introduces its own unique story when someone called “The Puppeteer” sets out to destroy the ruin the world by spreading it with sadness all because he got booed off stage many years ago. It may not have the best storyline out there, but it’s compelling enough for you to see what happens at the end of it.
Graphics Are Impressive
As with most PS Vita games released to date, the graphics are excellent and it’s hard pressed to notice the differences between this version and the LittleBigPlanet games released for the PS3. LittleBigPlanet Vita is not just a lazy port as the visuals and overall presentation are to be commended.
Not
Same Old LittleBigPlanet
Although the new touch screen controls add a whole new dynamic to this version of LittleBigPlanet, the overall features and gameplay still remain the same. If you already own LittleBigPlanet 2 for the PS3, there’s not nearly enough new content on this Vita version for you to buy it unless you are a hardcore fan of the series. If you happen to be one of the few people out there that dislike the LittleBigPlanet series for some reason, there’s nothing here on offer that will persuade you from giving the series another look.
Verdict
LittleBigPlanet Vita is without question one of the best games available for the PS Vita. The amount of content that is available in this game is immense and is sure to keep PS Vita owners happy for a very long time. This game is not just any old lazy port of a PS3 game like some other handheld video games usually are. The controls are great and it’s arguably the best addition of the LittleBigPlanet series. If you own a Vita and love the LittleBigPlanet series, you’d be mental not to buy this game.
