Despite rumors earlier in the year that we might hear some new news about Final Fantasy Versus XIII at the Tokyo Games Show. It appears we may not hear about the game after all.
A member of the Square Enix Member fan club spoke with Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto and tweeted the following: “I spoke about a number of things with Mr. Hashimoto today. It looks like Versus won’t be at Tokyo Game Show. They’re first putting all their effort info FFXIV and the Lightning Saga finale.”
He later tweeted that Square Enix is still developing the game and we may see more of it next year.
The last time we saw any new news or gameplay footage of Final Fantasy Versus XIII was back in January 2011…

September 2, 2012 at 9:48 AMThis is actually *killing* me. I’m watching the Lightning Saga annoucement and they’re stating it will be out next year, and yet, nothing about Versus since 2006…
I’m not complaining about having another FFXIII, as the 2nd installement made me enjoy FFXIII – weird, I know -, but I’d *REALLY* love to have some upgraded info about Versus, since they’re working on it since ’06 – oh so they say.
*nibles arm*
I really can’t wait!

September 4, 2012 at 3:41 PMThere is no proof that they have been working on it since 2006 because they may have came up with the idea and want to make it the best final fantasy of all time so maybe they r taking it slow n trying to increase the game to its full potential
