THQ President Jason Rubin has announced Guillermo del Toro’s Insane game is no longer in production at THQ.
Jason Rubin stated:
“We have decided not to pursue further pre-production on Insane, and have returned all of our IP rights to Guillermo del Toro,” Rubin said. It is a project the embattled publisher is no longer pursuing, and was cited alongside Facebook, mobile, and social as “outside of our core business.”
THQ has mentioned all the rights to the game have been returned to Guillermo del Toro and the famed Hollywood director could develop the game elsewhere.
Insane was first announced in 2010 but nothing else was revealed about the game since then. Insane was to be released in 2013 and was described to be a survival horror.
