Yesterday we reported that the Playstation Blogcast made mention of the Spelunker HD DLC, but nothing else was said. Today Tozai Games announced that the DLC is coming to the US and Spelunker HD will receive a Plus discount.
On August 28th, Spelunker HD will be patched to include championship mode (EX1 free) and the other Japanese updates like zoom in for multiplayer. Additionally 7 of the 9 DLC packs will also be added to the PS Store, with the remaining 2 releasing in sometime this September. Each DLC pack will cost only $1.99 and adds 3 DLC trophies per pack (2x Silver, 1x Gold). However Plus members can purchase the game / DLC for half off ($5 for the game, $.99 DLC) for two weeks.
