EA has not released an NBA video game for the past few years. 2K Sports has thrived because of this with its excellent NBA 2K games since then. With NBA Live 13 announced earlier this year, a report from IRB Gamer suggests the game might only be a digital only release.
An EA representative reportedly spilled the beans on the news during a Gamestop Expo in San Antonio. He mentioned that the game is due for release this October for Xbox LIVE Arcade and the PlayStation Network.
The EA rep went on to say that the game would cost 1600 Microsoft Points or $20 on the PSN.
EA itself has yet to officially confirm or deny if this is true or not. Considering it’s near the end of the year and not much else has been announced for NBA Live 13, it could be a sigh that this is true.
