Battlefield 3 Premium Edition was announced recently, coupling the base game with the Premium service. At the time of the reveal, the newest edition was set to carry a $69.99 price tag. Now, shortly before the game’s September 11th release date, EA has stated that the Premium Edition will debut at a lower price.

With the Premium subscription costing $50 and Battlefield 3 currently going for $39.99, you can look at this package one of two ways: One, you’re getting Premium for $20 or, Two, you’re paying $10 for the game. Either way you look at it, the end result favors the consumer.
