Sony has officially confirmed that over 100 PSOne Classics will be compatible with the PlayStation Vita by month’s end. More specifically, once Firmware v1.8 releases for Vita on August 28th, a vast selection of PlayStation 1 titles will be available for on-the-go play.
You may very well see fellow Vita owners playing Resident Evil 2 and Final Fantasy VII while out and about in the near future. Which games are you most excited about downloading to Sony’s handheld?

August 21, 2012 at 2:49 AMI hope I can still play R-Type Delta on the VITA. The game was removed from the store, but It’s still in my download list since I purchased it.

August 21, 2012 at 4:38 PMNice one! I thought they would add like 10 games at a time or so, taking many months before all games would be compatible..
I have around 60 digital PSone games and I’m pretty sure 80% of those will be at the initial 100 to be playable when FW1.8 is released ^^
I’ll be playing FFVII – VIII – IX, MGS, Castlevania SOTN and so on.
