Today, Take-Two Interactive reported their financial results for the first quarter of their fiscal year, and it seems they were hoping Max Payne 3 would have done better.
“Although our first quarter results were below expectations due to lower-than-anticipated sales of Spec Ops: The Line andMax Payne 3, the outlook for our slate of upcoming releases is stronger than ever,” said Strauss Zelnick, Chairman and CEO of Take-Two.
While Max Payne 3 received generally excellent reviews, it still only went on to sell a not lower than expected number of three million copies worldwide. To some this may not seem like a huge blunder, but for Take-Two, it certainly wasn’t what they were hoping for.
