Both THQ and Vigil Games have reason to be happy as today they were informed that the Collector’s Edition for Darksiders II has sold out nationwide. All retailers are no longer taking pre-orders for Darksiders II CE, which include shopTHQ, GameStop, Best Buy and Amazon, just to name a few.
This news was spread via Darksiders’ Facebook where they posted the following statement:
Community Update: We have just been informed that literally every outlet in the US has confirmed that they are completely out of stock for any additional orders of the Collector’s Edition! If you haven’t yet, pre-order a copy of the Limited Edition before it’s gone: there’s only a couple of more weeks until Death is unleashed! Thanks so much for your continued support!
If you pre-ordered the Collector’s Edition early on, congratulations. If you did not, here’s what you missed: the Limited Edition version of Darksiders II, a Replica Death Mask, an art book, Darksiders II soundtrack, and an exclusive Shadow of Death pack. Don’t fret. You’re not completely out of luck if you didn’t jump on the $99.99 collectable package. The Limited Edition, which costs $59.99, is still available, for now.
Darksiders II will release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on August 14th.
