Keeley Hawes was the voice for Lara Croft in the previous Tomb Raider games. Crystal Dynamics has now announced that Camilla Luddington will voice the iconic character for the upcoming game.
UK fans may of heard or Camilla Luddington before. She played Kate Middleton in the TV movie “William & Kate” that was released last year. She also has a recurring role in True Blood.
“This has been one of the most important jobs for us to get right,” said Darrell Gallagher, head of studio at Crystal Dynamics. “‘This Tomb Raider game is very different to any other and we are demanding far more from the voice and performance acting than ever before as we take the franchise in a new direction.”
Fans will get a chance to meet Camilla Luddington at the San Diego Comic Con event later this year. She will be there to promote/discuss the new game and her role in it.
Tomb Raider is out from March 5th, 2013 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

January 31, 2013 at 2:13 AMBoring face. Pretty, but utterly boring.
Such a shame that no one in charge of this franchise has had a clue going on 13 years now.

March 2, 2013 at 11:07 PMStill want to know why the new game is sourcing Lara Croft’s power and ability in the particular way that she’s assaulted in this game. I read what Ron Rosenberg has to say about how… excited… he was by this: “The ability to see her as a human is even more enticing to me than the more sexualised version of yesteryear. She literally goes from zero to hero — we’re sort of building her up and just when she gets confident, we break her back down again.” Pretty telling quote, that — he’s turned on by the fact that she has to fight off a rapist “like a cornered animal”.
WTF, Rosenberg? Lara Croft was always intelligent, tough, and witty — why the hell did you have to go there? You needed to victimize her so badly that you violated the storyline of the games and movies? Asshole. You couldn’t let her be strong and powerful without some horrible trauma to justify and explain it?

August 26, 2013 at 8:32 PM*** WARNING: NECRO POST ***
@nec true – but why the pic, if we are never gonna see her? Why not a voice clip instead so we can
judge the voice of the new Laura? She IS after all,
“.. doing a voice for a character, not playing the part in a movie”.
And if they are using her face as a model in the game, then @Arnulfini opinion is valid. And I would agree, doesn’t have that look of a woman who has seen many fights, adventures and tombs.
