E3’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist demo was tactical and action-packed, but it can play out much differently depending on the type of player holding the controller. Are you the type of person that prefers remaining invisible as you pass through hostile zones? Or would you rather obliterate everyone before the understand what’s happening?
It doesn’t matter which category you fall into because Blacklist has you covered. Maxime Beland of Ubisoft said that three player archetypes were taking into consideration when creating the newest Splinter Cell and the game will reward players for adhering to one of the styles.
Here are the three mentioned play styles:
The Ghost: A player that doesn’t want to kill and doesn’t want to be detected.
The Action Hero: The player that wants to get his hands dirty, wants to lob frags, and blindfire.
The Panter: Between the extremes, this player wants to use all tools at his disposal to clear areas.
All of these are valid tactics, but I’m sure the older Splinter Cell fans will attempt to take the Ghost path. Which is your preferred play style?
