EA’s president Frank Gibeau has recently revealed that to keep the Dead Space franchise alive it needs to have five million fans.
During an interview with CVG, Gibeau revealed, “ultimately you need to get to audience sizes of around five million to really continue to invest in an IP like Dead Space”, adding swiftly after that, “anything less than that and it becomes quite difficult financially given how expensive it is to make games and market them”.
With Dead Space 3 being released next year is this EA saying if it isn’t received well it will be the final Dead Space title? Only time will tell.
