A few weeks back Microsoft was rumored to start selling an Xbox 360 bundle for $99.99, which came with an additional contract fee of $14.99 a month. Despite all the speculation that it was false, Microsoft now lists this promotion on their official website.
Sadly this deal is limited to Microsoft stores, but includes a Xbox 360, Kinect and 2 years of Xbox Live Gold. While this is a fantastic deal if you rather pay over time (only about $30 more), there are early termination fees to look out for. You can find the full chart here, but basically you’re looking at a $250 ETF for the first four months, with a slow drop to $144 after a year. After this point the fees drop considerably faster, so it’s not too bad after a year. In all and all it’s an interesting idea, but who knows if it will take off.
