According to a report from TheGamersHub, a sequel to the PS2’s Final Fantasy XII may already be in the works.
The game is called Valiant: Final Fantasy and it is set 10 years after the events of Final Fantasy XII. Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings for the DS was only set a year after the first game.
It’s interesting to note the PS3 and Xbox 360 logos being there too. An official twitter page for the game has also been created further suggesting this is legit.
Hopefully Square Enix announces some more official details on the game at E3.

May 26, 2012 at 12:57 AMIn my little world here, I have always felt that Final Fantasy died after X. However, XII was a good game in its on respect. Although it did not have a true Final Fantasy game play (traditional turn based), its story was not up to par with me nor other reviewers. I hope if this is true, the sequel has a better story than its predecessor. I also hope they do not change the gameplay to XIII gameplay. I will always enjoy I-XII (even X-2 game play to some extent minus the story) but the way they took the series with XII through XIII-2 sours me. Final Fantasy died after X… I hope someday they realize this and put the sad series to rest. Come on guys.. They are seriously planning XIII-3? That tells even the most serious of fans that the series has DIED. I will never entrust S.E. in remaking I-IX. Only X-XII. It makes me laugh when I see protests for a VII remake! Who wants this? Newbie fans who started with Advent Children? Probably! MOST of us who started with the early Final Fantasies (III (VI) and below) can honestly tell you are NOT true fans of the series. Reminder to this new generation: Graphics do NOT make a game. If you cannot handle the originals, DON’T PLAY THE GAME.
