Ever since LittleBigPlanet was announced for the then ‘next-gen portable’, there hasn’t been a whole lot of info for the game. Well the people over at Tarsier Studios are looking to change that in the future, starting today with a new video and the official reveal of the game’s box art. To start, the box art, which can be seen above is final, and will be same for both the European and the North American version of the game. Japanese box art is still unavailable, but will likely pop up sooner than not, or simply be the same.
Next, we’ve been provided with a brand new behind the scenes video for LittleBigPlanet Vita, which is a little over four minutes, and includes a bunch of new footage and info about the game. Among other new info given in the video, notably, it has been revealed that people who bought the 3G version of the Playstation Vita will be able to use that functionality to to download and publish levels as they please, which is very convenient. Though no word on if 3G users will be able to play online entirely, it isn’t necessarily likely, unfortunately. For the full scoop, including all of the new info and footage, have a gander at the video below.
Finally, for those of you that are overly eager to give the game a shot, the wait may be coming to an end. Commenting on the status of the LittleBigPlanet Vita beta, Simon Rosenkotter, Tarsier’s Community Coordinator said “they will be send soon. Not this week, but very soon”. This was speaking directly at the North American invites, which may or may not be sent at the same time as the European invites. In the past, invites have at times been split, and Europe has received access to LBP betas before, so it could happen again, but no official word just yet.
