According to Microsoft, Mojang and 4J Studios’ Minecraft is now the fastest selling Xbox Live Arcade game to hit the Xbox 360 since Trials Evolution.
There is no exact figure on how much Minecraft really sold within its 24 hours of release but according to Major Nelson, over 400,000 players are found playing on the leaderboards. That should pretty much give you an idea on how many people bought the game when it was released last Wednesday.
