Game Industry International has reported that video game retailer GAME will be forced to close 60 of its stores in Australia.
Unfortunately, this will be at a cost of 264 jobs. 17 head office positions will also be gone.
“This is a difficult time for employees and closing the stores was not a decision we made easily,” said Kate Warwick of PricewaterhouseCoopers. “However it is not financially viable to continue to operate at this level at this time.”
