CD Projekt RED has announced that the Dark Edition for The Witcher 2 is completely sold out in the United States. This $99.99 special edition was only available through pre-order at select stores such as Gamestop and included an official soundtrack, making of DVD and a 232 page artbook. CD Projekt Red board member Michał Nowakowski said the following in a statement:
“It’s great news for us, that the Dark Edition was such a success worldwide. I hope players will appreciate the gadgets we prepared for them.”
This comes one week after the Dark Edition sold out over in Europe. I guess fans will have to settle for the Enhanced Edition now which comes with a map, soundtrack and questing guide. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings releases on April 17 for the Xbox 360.
