While we’ve seen Microsoft and Sony taking advantage of digital distribution of full games on their respective marketplace, it seems that Nintendo is going to follow the trend sometime this Fall.
With the upcoming release of the New Super Mario Bros 2. on the Nintendo 3DS this August, not only the game will be available on a 3DS cartridge, a full digital download will be available for purchase on the Nintendo 3DS Shop. Ina addition to NSMB2, the sequel to the highly popular Brain Age will also be available for download as well.
As for the Nintendo Wii-U, we should expect for the system to have a hard drive as games will be released digitally as well. If you have a Nintendo 3Ds but with the limited 2GB card, you might want to upgrade that by the end of the year.
