DICE has just released a trailer for the ‘Rent A Server’ feature that has just appeared on consoles.
As DICE proudly states it is one of the first times that console players will be able to run a server for both private and public matches. The servers which can be rented for different lengths of time will allow players to choose map rotation, give HUD options and even allow owners to banned players from the server. Servers have worked well for years on PC let’s hope their success is felt on consoles!

April 5, 2012 at 12:19 AMJust played Battlefield 3 after 45 min of downloading the new rent a server. You guy don’t make enough money, now we have to play by someone else’s rules. I didn’t see 1 server that was not owned and was able to play on. Microsoft is to greedy and I’m done with all the extras you have to pay on the Xbox 360. I’ll let my subsciption run out and then start playing my PS3
WHAT HAPPENED TO BATTLEFIELD 3, IT WAS FINE JUST AS IT WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
