Multiplayer isn’t new to Assassin’s Creed. We’ve seen competitive modes fill the multiplayer side of the past two AC games. Cooperative play, however, is something new to the series and apparently Assassin’s Creed III will include it in addition to the multiplayer modes present in both Brotherhood and Revelations.
According to Xbox.com’s product listing for Ubisoft’s upcoming game, two to four players can play co-op. Ubisoft’s recently released trailer and the Game Informer info focuses solely on the single player experience. Details regarding multiplayer have not been discussed yet. So, we can’t say whether or not Xbox.com jumped the gun or put up false information by mistake.
One thing’s for sure, we won’t have to wait too long to find out with E3 only three months away.
