THQ has announced that Jesper Kyd, a Danish composer who’s previous works included the music in Assassin’s Creed and Hitman games, is composing the original score for Darksiders 2. Jeremy Robins, who is the Audio Director at Virgil Games had this to say about Kyd:
“It’s been an absolute pleasure working with Jesper. He’s an extremely talented composer and an avid gamer, who not only created an amazing soundtrack for Darksiders II, but intuitively knew how to cater each composition to achieve maximum musical impact for players.”
Judging by how well the music fit into Assassin’s Creed and Hitman, I have a good feeling tat Jesper Kyd will do an excellent job in creating the soundtrack for Darksiders 2. Darksiders 2 is currently looking at a summer 2012 release on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
