After years of hope, The Simpsons Arcade Game is finally on consoles. However, with it being a direct port, many of the tasks seem harder than they really are. Thankfully this guide will show you most of the tricks/secrets to performing these tasks.
Bronze
Easier Than Arm Wrestling
Defeat the Wrestler without any player dying.
This is extremely easy on lower difficulties. Simply select Lisa and use her Jump + Attack skill. If you’re still having problems, try the Japanese ROM as you can obtain more life.
Falling For Smithers
Playing from Stage 1, fall through the deck after Smithers.
After you beat the second boss he will break the floor. At this point the trophy will unlock.
It Tastes Like Burning
Hurt Smithers with one of his own bombs.
Prior to the final boss you will fight Smithers. He does nothing, but spam bomb attacks. Sometimes (usually when he runs/throws) he will drop a blue bomb. These are unique as you can pick them up. Hit him with this bomb for the trophy.
Dysfunctional Family
Play in a 4-Player match with three other people.
Simply play a game where all Simpsons are accounted for. This will ding the second the fourth person appears.
Bongo’s Angist
Playing from stage 1, get Bongo to appear in 4 different locations.
Bongo appears in five different places, though they’re all fairly obvious. They all must be done in the same playthrough, but are extremely easy to do. However, keep in mind that you need to attack the tree till bongo appears.

Battling Seizure Robots
Playing from stage 1, defeat the battling robot.
The battling robot appears on stage 7 around midway through. Simply beat him for the trophy. If you’re having problems set it to free play and keep trying.
Helper Monkey
While performing a Team Attack damage 25 enemies.
Team Attacks are performed by standing next to someone and waiting the prompt. There are several in the game, but the best one is Marge/Homer. I did this offline in around three minutes with them so its extremely easy.
Silver
Mr. Sparkle
From stage 1, make it to the stage 3 boss in survival mode with the Japanese ROM.
This is one of those weird tasks where it’s easy for some and impossible for others. With this being said, the following tips are how I did it.
- Jumping attacks are extremely useful.
- Pick up as much health as possible. In the Japanese ROM it will stack.
- Jump + Attack does a high damage move.
- Make sure the best player gets the hammer on stage 2.
- Grab the food under the last tree in the graveyard.
- Take your time.
Best Score Ever
Earn 250 points (US) or 25,000 points (Japan) in a game.
My friend got 250 points on extreme by stage 5 and I got it on the stage 7 boss playing easy. If you’re having problems simply play alone.
Release the Hounds
Complete the game in 30 minutes or less.
The game is extremely short and can easily be done in 24 minutes. If you’re having problems play easy on the Japanese rom. Additionally DO NOT die if you have the hammer. The hammer makes quick work of enemies so losing can be bad.
Like Taking Candy from a Baby
Complete the game four times, once with each character.
Every character unlocks something in the cool stuff area. You can use this to check your progress. Additionally this must be completed from start to finish to count. Joining midway will result in nothing.
Gold
“Excellent”
Complete the game on Expert difficulty in individual quarter mode.
This sounds far harder than it really is. There are many ways to go about this, but this is the most simple way.
Find a friend who is willing to help and make a private room. Send him around five invites then start the game. Have your friend do most/all of the work till they’re about to run out of lives. Have them leave, (DO NOT KICK!) then continue playing. Your friend will be able to freely join the game with the invites from before. Continue this method till burns dies. Provided you don’t run out of lives, the trophy will ding.
