Jens Bergensten has recently revealed a number of blocks that will be coming to Minecraft, hopefully in the 1.2 update.
The images below show off the two new blocks that will be added. The new blocks are upside down stair blocks and top half blocks which should allow for more creations and also a form of sloped roofing. Jens also revealed that “Next week will be bug-fixing week for a possible 1.2 release”.

February 26, 2012 at 1:51 PMThe fact that these are new blocks is wrong.
1. There are NO DIFFERENCES with the slabs.
2. Those arches are just upside down stairs.

February 27, 2012 at 8:42 AMMonstercjr, I don’t know if I’m reading your post wrong, but…
1. If you noticed, slabs are only placed on the bottom half of the hitbox. These new slabs will be placed on the top half.
2. Yes, they are upside down stairs. That’s the other new block… You currently can only place stairs downside up (is that even a term? Eh, idc).
Please explain what you meant if I read it wrong. Honestly, it looks as if you didn’t even read the article.
