Guerrilla Games has announced that the Killzone 3 multiplayer will be available to play for free on Tuesday, February 28 on the Playstation Network. Any Playstation user with a PSN account will be able to download the content from the store and play the multiplayer mode for Killzone 3. This downloadable “preview” lets you play every online map up to a certain level cap. It was stated that they decided to do this in order to “keep that multiplayer mode out there and active.” The full statement read:
*The free-to-play multiplayer mode for Killzone 3 comes with a limitation however, an unidentified level cap. There will be some sort of limitation on what rank players can achieve in free-to-play mode and a limit on the number of skills and unlockable weapons that come with those higher rankings.
You can purchase the full uncapped version of the stand alone multiplayer for $14.99 USD when it releases alongside the free to play version. This will not include the single player campaign but who needs it when you have the epic online mode?
