As I personally stated in my review, Gotham City Impostors is a game with some flaws that, if you’re into the genre, is too unique to pass up. It could be forgiven for a lot of flaws for solid gameplay and a general lightness of tone. It’s worth the trouble to play it.
That said, it may not be worth 20 minutes of trouble just to get into a game.
The PC matchmaking system is apparently very broken, complaints have been popping up numerously on the Steam forums about a crashing or simply horrifically slow matchmaking experience. Some have even gone so far to start demanding refunds for their game.
It’s said that in next month’s free DLC, the problem will be fixed. It appears that PC gamers will have to wait for a functioning game system with Gotham City. If you’re on the fence and are a PC gamer, this should probably tell you which way to lean right now.
At least until it’s fixed.
