SEGA has confirmed that they delayed Aliens: Colonial Marines into late Fall of this year. “Aliens: Colonial Marines is a process of creativity and invention and those don’t necessarily follow the structure of an assembly line,” said SEGA and Gearbox Software in a statement they sent to Game Informer. The game was originally supposed to release sometime in the Spring.
“While setting clear goals, deadlines and predictions is helpful, they are often subjective. We don’t want to sacrifice the creative process just for the sake of following a blue print. We prefer to have the creative discovery shape that blue print because our goal is to make a great game, and we are prioritizing this goal over the previously targeted date.”
The more this game gets delayed, the more I start to believe that it will never see the light of day. Hopefully The devs can get it finished so fans of the Aliens series can play a game that delivers a true Aliens experience.
