David Vonderhaar one of the developers for Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops has today hinted towards Black Ops being used to aid the production of its sequel.
Firstly Vonderhaar spoke out about what Treyarch would most likely keep the same in a Black Ops sequel saying, “We have these ‘traditions’ of doing things a certain way. Prestige relocking gameplay content being one.”
He later went was asked about the importance of beta testing to which he commented, that “it would be ridiculously beneficial to be able to test out this stuff now in black ops so its perfect for the ‘next game.’”
Call of Duty: Black Ops received plenty of patches and hot fixes after release but hopefully if Treyarch use Blacks Ops to test some things out this won’t be needed as much for a sequel.
thx
