According to a NeoGAF user, the file size for Final Fantasy XIII-2 is much smaller than the previous game.
Final Fantasy XIII-2’s size is only is 14.446GB on the PS3 and 7.8GB on the Xbox 360. Compare this to Final Fantasy XIII and you will notice there’s a big difference. Final Fantasy XIII was 37.6GB in size on a dual layered Blu-ray disc. The Xbox 360 version was 18.3GB across three discs.
It appears as if Final Fantasy XIII-2 will have a lot more in-game cinematics than FMV’s like its predecessor. Not that this is too much of a bad thing considering the graphics a really impressive anyway…
Final Fantasy XIII-2 hits January 31st in North America and February 3rd in Europe.
