According to a new report, preparations are being made for Microsoft to officially announce the next Xbox console at CES in January.
According to French website Xboxygen, Microsoft will not be making any announcements directly related to software or features but will instead be discussing the console’s newest hardware and specifications. According to an anonymous source, Microsoft has revealed that they currently have two teams working on the console; the first group who is working on the new console’s hardware is called “Infinity”while another called “loop” is working on software. The site goes on to say that the console will include a six core processor, AMD graphics and 2GB of RAM.
If these RUMORS are true, although it is highly unlikely that will be seeing either Sony’s or Microsoft’s new consoles hitting store shelves next year, we may still be looking at a very interesting 2012 indeed.
