According to a report from Industry Gamers, Sony’s PlayStation Move device has managed to ship over 9 million units worldwide.
This means that the PlayStation Move is slowly closing in on the sales gap from Microsoft’s Kinect. The Kinect went off to a great start when it was released late last year when 8 million units were sold in only 60 days. Back in March of this year, it reached the 10 million sales mark.
Bear in mind, the PlayStation Move data is from the amount of units shipped not sold. Both Microsoft and Sony have yet to update its official sales figures for the Kinect and PlayStation Move respectively. The last time either company made an announcement was earlier this year. With Christmas coming up, it’s likely they will announce something soon.
