“LOL”
There’s something unspeakably beautiful about that line coming from a man so high up on the game development ladder. “LOL”. That maybe we, even we, the average gamers, could rise to Hideo Kojima level and still post “LOL” on Twitter.
Well anyway, in a recent Twitter post, addressing someone appearing to be an old friend, he stated…
“LOL @alislas just bought MGS HD Collection, remember when i played them years ago, thank you for greats memories.”
As gamers, it is our responsibility, no, our DUTY to over-analyze this.
Is this a mockery of HD Collections as a whole? Is Hideo Kojima referring to the deeply-layered satirical nature of Metal Gear Solid? Is this a bitterly ironic comment on a Kojima so tied to the MGS line, a tortured soul who wants nothing more than to continue his opus, which is, of course, Zone Of The Enders.
Probably not, but it’s still refreshing to see an industry great like Kojima lol occasionally.
