Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has confirmed that a new Assassin’s Creed game will be released next year.
Guillemot mentioned pre-orders for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: Revelations are higher than for last year’s Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood.
His announcement regarding the new game was made during an investor call. He said “There will be another great, full-fledged Assassin’s Creed title next year. It will be another major release and we will be communicating more about it in the coming months.”
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations will be the last game that will feature Ezio as the main star. The next Assassin’s Creed game will conclude the story involving Desmond. It’s possible future Assassin’s Creed titles beyond 2012 will have all-new characters.
Once Assassin’s Creed: Revelations is out next week, we can expect to hear an announcement regarding the next Assassin’s Creed game shorty after this.
