Activision has today revealed that the figures they released about Modern Warfare 3 only a couple of days ago were in fact incorrect due to confusion.
Activision publicized that on the 8th of November over 3 million players were online simultaneously on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The company has today admitted that this was actually the number of unique players who played over the entire day and in fact only 1.4 million users were online at the same time.
While there is a big difference 1.4 million players is by no means a small group of people yet it isn’t quite as impressive as over 3 million.
