Bethesda has revealed on its official blog, the results of the Skyrim speedrun.
Skyrim developers competed to see who could finish the game’s main quest with no cheats. Bethesda’s Sam Bernstein from QA managed to win the competition when he managed to finish the game in a time of 2:16:10. He was followed closely by Jeff Browne of Bethesda Game Studios with a time of 2:16:30. Just 20 seconds slower…
Bear in mind this does not reflect the game’s actual length for players. This is just the main quest and first time players will take much longer to get through everything since they are unlikely to know where everything is and won’t skip anything too.
Skyrim’s main quest must be longer than Oblivion and Fallout 3 which speedruns took just over one hour.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is due for release on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on 11/11/11.
