Microsoft will no doubt be releasing its successor to the Xbox 360 in the not too distant future, it’s pretty much a foregone conclusion. What’s interesting is that, thanks to the wonders of professional social media site LinkedIn, four profile pages of Microsoft employees confirm that various aspects of a ‘next-gen’ console are actively being worked on.
As posted on Twitter by supererogatory, Xbox User Experience Creative Director Jeff Faulkner lists himself as “Xbox Next Gen Creative Director” on his profile, and Senior Creative Director Jonathan Harris describes his position as “designing the next generation of entertainment” at Microsoft.
Also, Visual Designer Patrick Corrigan lists a former job at Microsoft that included “providing groundwork and integration for branding elements for next-gen XBOX on all forms of media. Ranging from print to UI across future releases of the XBOX platform.” The job is listed as having ended in June of this year.
And Finally, Xbox Hardware Intern Joe Langevin describes that he “designed and simulated high speed data buses to prevent electromagnetic interference in next-gen devices.”
Naturally, Microsoft have so far declined to comment and those mentioned above are probably being given a stern reminder of exactly what an NDA is.
