Looks like Nintendo is planning on allowing their loyal fanbase the opportunity to try out DS games before buying them by allowing developers to release demos onto the eShop.
“We are… aiming to accelerate our digital business, the importance of which is expected to become even higher in the future,” said Satoru Iwata, President of Nintendo. He revealed that “several new functions” are to be added to the 3DS eShop including post release DLC which is, “a feature a number of software creators have been looking forward to.” Developers will also be able to release demos for their games, “for which they can put a limit on the number of trials”.
