In a rare moment of clarity, though that may not be giving Ubisoft enough credit, Ubisoft has stated that they’re going to be backing off from the annual updates to Assassin’s Creed after Revelations launches.
With the final game of Ezio’s, it appears what they refer to as a ‘cycle’ will be finished, they’ll be ready to move on and tell a new story with the series.
Referring to a regular release schedule as a double edged sword, and stating that he is, paraphrasing, satisfied with the picture they have painted of Ezio Auditore’s life, and touching upon Altair as well, that annual updates will only happen once again if there’s a good enough reason to do so.
Fans can look forward to Assassin’s Creed Revelations, the last AC game for a while, on November 15th.
