In an interview with Impress Watch, Dead or Alive creator Tomonobu Itagaki comments about the upcoming Dead or Alive 5.
After resigning from Tecmo in 2008, the Dead or Alive creator won’t be involved in the production and development of Dead or Alive 5. Surprisingly, Itagaki didn’t even know Dead or Alive was even announced at the Tokyo Game Show.
He said:
“It was announced? I still haven’t seen it myself, so I’m not in a position to comment.”
He said it is odd to see the Dead or Alive series continue without him. Although he’s not bitter about it and only wishes the game to be successful much like a father would want his daughter to be happy when she gets married.
Dead or Alive 5 is due out 2012 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. It will be interesting to know his reactions to the full game when its eventually out.
